The 200 Market Building was built in 1973 for Prudential Insurance Company and is one of the largest office buildings in Oregon. In 1988, Russell Development Company purchased the building and invested $25 million in complete reconstruction of the building’s interior and exterior ground level. All of the systems (HVAC, ceiling, lighting, electrical distribution, data/telephone distribution, life safety, etc) are new as of the completion of the reconstruction in 1990.
The ownership entity of the 200 Market Place is 200 Market Associates, LP. John Russell, of Market Building, LLC, serves as general partner. The building is co-managed by Russell Development Company and Cushman & Wakefield of Oregon, Inc., both of which are headquartered on the site.
